Hello again!

The beauty of directing your attention and priming it with curiosity and problem-solving is that answers come.

The thing you need to hear finds your focus.

It has always been there. Unseen. Unheard. Unrecognized.

I have taken a break from social media to care for my family and take a deep dive into life in my second act.  I needed some time to reflect, and WOW, am I astounded at the realizations, personal growth and adventures I have experienced.

Out of curiosity, I did an estimate of the miles I have traveled.  I have covered over 4,808 miles by land and 14,900 miles as the crow flies while working remotely in the last 6 months.  My pioneering family may be at the heart of that.  They arrived in America in the 1500’s and settled in the Rocky Mountains in 1780.  My dad was a pilot and we moved more times than I can count as a child.  I continued gypsydom as an adult to support my children’s father through medical school, residency, and his first real job, while pursuing my own education.  I spent the next two decades moving for my childrens’ needs.  Now, I am both caregiver to my widowed mother and pursuing my wanderlust by choice. My empty nest has given me wings.

The view from here is spectacular.

I have forged icy streams to natural hot springs under the roar of a waterfall by starlight.

I have swam alongside manta rays and bright tropical fish.  (Whales are my next goal!)

I have listened to macadamia nuts strike my tent within sight of the ocean while wild boar root nearby.

These experiences had lessons I will share, but for now, I want to reintroduce myself with deepened self realization.  As 2023 comes into its last quarter, I am ultimately grateful for life, love, and learning.

So, Aloha. My name is Neeli.

I am endlessly curious, particularly about the brain.

My purpose is to be a powerful expression of what is possible in your 50’s and beyond.

My heart desires integrity, and my actions are proof.

I endeavor to facilitate authentic conversations that empower and inspire.

I am a conduit for knowledge, methods, and strategies that transform, starting with me.

I support my children to see their own resilience and cheer their growth in all stages of their life.

My love is unconditional, with healthy boundaries to support beautiful relationships.

I invest in the health of my mind, body, spirit, and soul, and foster others to do the same.

I love wild water where I can swim while exploring the unseen world.

Laughter is medicine for my soul and I am deeply loyal to the tribe I call friends and family.

There is little I won’t try.

Adventures come in all shapes and sizes.

I am flawed, and better for it, because I am learning how to choose differently.

I recognize that bad things happen to good people, but we choose whether to be bitter or not.

I still have so much to learn.

I am honored to know you, and hope our connection grows.

E mālama i ka ʻāina a me kou manaʻo (protect the land and our minds)

Walking from a swim in Kealakekua Bay, Big Island Hawaii. This beautiful reef is worth the trip. It inspired me to continue protecting all our natural resources, including our minds.
